The Dancewear Drive was conceived as a way to give dancers everywhere the opportunity to give back to underserved, aspiring young dancers in their communities by donating their gently used dancewear as they outgrow or no longer use it. The contributions from the inaugural Dancewear Drive benefitted the launch of the Hope St. Family Center dance program in downtown Los Angeles. Dancewear Drive recently launched a nation-wide program of "dancer delegates" to oversee Dancewear Drive collections in their own communities to benefit local organizations with dance programs for the underserved. Proving the power of young dancers to make a difference, the Dancewear Drive empowers every lover of the art form to create positive change. Dancewear Drive: Dancers Outfitting Dancers.
